From May 4th to May 6th, 2019, we conducted a workshop at Shimane University with Professor R. Reed, Dr. F. Adziman, Dr. C. Panwisawas, and Dr. Y. Gong and other project-related participants. With about 30 people attended, we reported the progress on the project so far and discussed how we proceed research at Shimane University and also how we collaborate with University of Oxford. The Collaboration with University of Oxford plays a significant role in achieving the objective of the centre which is to become a world-class research base for metallic materials.

The workshop was carried out in English, filled with enthusiasm and lively debate, and the attendees continued exchanging opinions and further discussions.

The next workshop will be held at University of Oxford in September, 2019.
