We launched our new "Undergraduate Minor Program 'Manufacturing Training Program' " in April, 2019.

Manufacturing industry has been prospered in Shimane, especially in the field of advanced materials such as special steels. In this region, "Tatara iron-making" has been passed down for a long period of time.

This program aims to give students in all fields the basic knowledge of manufacturing, and to increase the number of people who can contribute to the development of the industry. Furthermore, it endeavors to make industries in Shimane reinforced to a higher level. We are hoping that a lot of students take the program, for they can receive a certificate of achievement when they reach the necessary standard.
