On the 25th of January 2022, an online seminar was held as the 5th NEXTA forum at the Next Generation Tatara co-Creation Centre (NEXTA) research building. More than 70 people including people working for the local companies or administrative related people participated in the event. The lecturer was Mr.Masaru Nakano, the consultant at the graduate school of System Design and Management, Keio University, also known as a committee member of “government and people conference for the revolution of transfer in the sky” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The theme was “Future mobility -Future view of flying cars- A roadmap to practical implementation and required technologies-“. He answered some questions from the participants, as well as gave a discourse on the current situation of the business field from a wide perspective.
One of the participants remarked as “The Current situation regarding flying cars, especially the information about its marketability or regulations was very helpful.” The other participant reviewed saying “It was helpful to understand the difference of current situation of the development of research and technology when comparing Japan and overseas.”
The NEXTA forum is an activity to promote communication between NEXTA and the companies in Shimane prefecture on a regular basis. It is aimed at creating innovation by joint researches, or accepting working adults to the Doctor course (Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology) and training up them to be hard-core technical human resources, and to develop to be a new collaboration.
