On the 26 of May, 2021, In the Next Generation Tatara Co-Creation Centre, we held advanced technology (cutting and processing) seminar as a 2nd NEXTA forum.
Almost 70 people from the companies and administrative agencies from Shimane prefecture attended the seminar. We invited Mr. Hashimoto, doctor of engineering and chief director of Hashimoto Iron Works co., Ltd, as an online lecturer and set “Changeover to innovative manufacturing way based on a scientific approach,” and “Material organization and residual stress cutting process optimization by in-process control“ as themes and he mainly spoke about the analysis business of his company. After the lecture, we had a discussion about “Difficulties and devisal for SMEs (Small and medium-sized enterprises) that conducting research development “and “The current situation of aircraft industry”. The students were able to discover a lot of new things through this active discussion.
The NEXTA forum is an activity to promote communication between NEXTA and the companies in Shimane prefecture on a regular basis. It is aimed at creating innovation by joint researches, or accepting working adults to the Doctor course (Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology) and train up them to be hard-core technical human resources, and to develop to be a new collaboration. The content and the date for the 3rd forum are under consideration. We will inform you once it is fixed.
