The 9th round of the "Shimane Advanced Metal Materials Base Creation Project Conference" (B Conference) was held on 21 December 2022. This Conference is held twice a year for discussions for the Project of Subsidy for Regional University / Regional Industry Creation, "Creation of a Global Base for Advanced Metals -Next Generation TATARA Project-".The conference was held online, likewise the last time, connecting Shimane University, the collaborating researchers in the UK, and other related organizations.

  At the beginning of the conference, Mr. Mouri, the project manager, gave the opening remarks, saying, “The various initiatives of NEXTA, Shimane University and related companies will continue. In this meeting, we would like to share the progress and result for now then we hope to receive some advice from the committee members attending today.”
  
During the conference, the leaders from the Aircraft Project, Motor Project and Human Resource Development Project made a presentation of their achievements and progress. The participants also discussed NEXTA’s future development. The committee members showed appreciation and expectations hearing the achievements. Some of them emphasized the importance of the continuation and development of ongoing initiatives to ensure the specialized human resources trained with NEXTA will be able to contribute to the region. In addition, other committee members pointed out and reaffirmed the continued importance of cooperation with each other including the Faculty of Materials for Energy which will be newly established in 2023, as well as other regional companies and educational institutions.
The next B-conference is scheduled for July 2023.
