On Friday the 18 of November 2022, we had a seminar at the Next Generation Tatara Co-creation Centre research building as the 11th NEXTA forum. The seminar was brought both online and on-site. There were many participants such as people from the companies in Shimane or other prefectures as well as administrative-related people.

This time, We invited Mr.Yuji ENOMOTO from Hitachi,Ltd. as a lecturer, and held a seminar entitled “ Motor Technical innovation that contributes to carbon neutral, and Expectations for magnetic materials.”

 During the seminar, he explained recent technical movements for motors, stories regarding research and development of high-efficiency motors using Fe-based amorphous ribbon, as well as the field where magnetic materials could be applied.

After the seminar, the participants reviewed, “I learned a lot about the recent development of motors and I think it was valuable.” or “It helped me understand requirements of technology in the next generation.” The other participants added, “We are actually working on how we can reduce the loss in motors. He showed us how you can improve the situation by using amorphous. He explained using actual data of prototypes which helped a lot to understand.”

The NEXTA forum is an activity to promote communication between NEXTA and the companies in Shimane prefecture on a regular basis. It is aimed at creating innovation through joint researches, or accepting working adults to the Doctor course (Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology) and training them up to be hard-core technical human resources, and to develop to be a new collaboration.
