On the 28 of August 2022, we had a seminar at the Next Generation Tatara Co-creation Centre research building as the 9th NEXTA forum. The seminar was brought both online and on-site. There were many participants such as people from the companies in Shimane or other prefectures as well as administrative-related people.

This time, We invited Mr.Hyodo from UNIPRES CORPORATION which is an automotive parts-related company as a lecturer, and he explained the technology and the outline of the company that has high-level of technique and undertaking from suggestions of design to development and making prototypes to mass production. 

After the seminar, the participants reviewed, “It was surprising to know that they are conducting joint research with a material manufacturer when developing parts.” or “It helped me understand carbonitriding.” The other participants added, “It was a good opportunity to know the situation of advanced development.”　

The NEXTA forum is an activity to promote communication between NEXTA and the companies in Shimane prefecture on a regular basis. It is aimed at creating innovation through joint researches, or accepting working adults to the Doctor course (Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology) and training them up to be hard-core technical human resources, and to develop to be a new collaboration.
