At the Next Generation Tatara Co-creation Centre, we invited Professor Masao Takeyama of School of Materials and Chemical Technology, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and held intensive lectures as a part of collaboration with advanced universities.
About 20 students not just from Shimane University, but also from National Institute of Technology, Matsue College, etc. enrolled in the classes on the basics of high temperature materials called 'Advanced Lecture on Materials Science 2b', 'Special Lecture on Materials Engineering 2b' and 'Advanced Material Structure E'. One of the students said, 'it was a great opportunity to take Professor Takeyama's lectures, and young researchers and engineers definitely should come and take his classes.' They all appeared to have enjoyed Professor Takeyama's passionate lecture and talked to him with questions afterward.
